Ethmoiditis

Ethmoiditis is inflammation of the ethmoid sinuses, the cavities located between the eyes and the upper part of the nose. It is a type of sinusitis and may occur on its own or alongside other nasal conditions.

Common causes: respiratory tract infections, allergies, and processes that block the drainage of the sinuses.

Frequent symptoms: pain or pressure between the eyes, nasal congestion, discharge, headache, and sometimes swelling around the eyes.
