Leukorrhea

When vaginal discharge increases noticeably or changes in color or odor, we call it leukorrhea, a common sign that can have very different origins. It does not always indicate a serious problem, but it is worth properly identifying its cause before taking action.

Common causes: disruptions in the normal balance of the vaginal flora, infections, hormonal changes typical of different life stages, or local irritation from products and clothing.

Associated symptoms: more discharge than usual, itching, burning, redness, or an odor different from the usual one that can cause discomfort.
