Strawberry Hemangioma

The strawberry hemangioma is a type of benign vascular birthmark of the skin, common in babies, formed by a cluster of small blood vessels that gives it a reddish, raised appearance resembling a strawberry.

How does it look? It appears as a bright red lesion, slightly raised, that is usually noticed in the first weeks or months of life.

Typical behavior: many grow during an initial period and then tend to stabilize naturally over time.
