Colonic Ileus

Colonic ileus is a condition in which the large intestine temporarily stops its normal movement, so the contents do not advance as they should. It can occur after surgery, from imbalances in the body, or as a reaction to certain abdominal processes.

Common symptoms: distension and pain in the abdomen, nausea, lack of gas or bowel movements, and a feeling of heaviness. The discomfort may appear gradually.
