Staphylococcal Skin Infection

Staphylococcal skin infection is a condition caused by bacteria of the genus Staphylococcus, which can colonize the skin surface and, upon entering through a wound or a follicle, cause inflammation and infection of the tissues.

Common symptoms: redness, swelling, warmth and pain in the affected area; at times, lesions with pus appear, such as boils, abscesses or honey-colored crusts.
