Myocarditis

Myocarditis is the inflammation of the myocardium, the muscle responsible for pumping blood from the heart to the rest of the body.

Common causes: It is frequently related to infections, especially of viral origin, though it can also be due to reactions of the immune system or other factors.

Common symptoms: It can cause fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pain, palpitations, or a sensation of tiredness disproportionate to the exertion.
