Osteitis deformans, known as Paget disease of bone, is a disorder in which the normal process of bone renewal becomes disordered, forming bone tissue that is bulkier but fragile.

Common symptoms: In many people it causes no discomfort and is discovered by chance; in others there may be bone pain or deformity of the affected area.
