Paraganglioma

A paraganglioma is a rare tumor that develops from a group of nervous system cells located outside the adrenal glands, along certain nerves and blood vessels of the body. Most grow slowly, and some can produce substances that affect blood pressure.

Possible signs: Depending on its location, it may cause episodes of high blood pressure, headache, sweating, palpitations, or a palpable mass, although at times it produces no symptoms.
