Pubic Lice

Pubic lice, also called crabs, are small insects that lodge in the hair of the genital area and, less frequently, in other hair-bearing areas, feeding on blood.

Common symptoms: intense itching in the pubic region, especially at night, skin irritation, and, at times, seeing the parasites or their eggs attached to the hair.

How they are spread: mainly through close intimate contact and, less frequently, by sharing clothing or bedding.
