Neurosarcoidosis

Sarcoidosis of the nervous system, or neurosarcoidosis, is a rare form of sarcoidosis in which the inflammation characteristic of this disease affects the brain, spinal cord, or nerves.

What characterizes it: Sarcoidosis causes small clusters of inflammatory cells to form in different organs; when these appear in nerve tissue, they can interfere with its functioning.

• Persistent headaches or changes in vision
