Disseminated Tuberculosis

Disseminated tuberculosis is a form of tuberculosis in which the bacterium that causes it spreads from its initial site to several organs through the bloodstream, instead of remaining limited to the lungs. It is a more extensive presentation of this infection.

Common symptoms:

• Prolonged fever and sweating, especially at night
• Weight loss and marked fatigue
• General malaise that does not ease over the days

When to see a doctor? In the case of persistent fever without a clear cause, unexplained weight loss, or previous contact with affected people, an early evaluation is advisable.
