She earned her Bachelor's degree as a Medical Surgeon at the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas and completed her specialty in Rehabilitation Medicine at the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación "Luis Guillermo Ibarra Ibarra" (INR LGII)/UNAM in Mexico City. In her professional practice she has developed a deep interest in neurological, progressive and chronic diseases, mostly genetic, which led her to pursue the Advanced Specialty in Neuromuscular Diseases at INR LGII. She has completed various courses and workshops in myology (the study of muscles), traveling to Paris, France; Salvador do Bahía, Brazil; Lima, Peru; Cancún, Mexico, as well as international rotations and training stays (Hospital Italiano in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Parc de Salut Mar in Barcelona, Spain) and national ones (AMCCI Hospital de Especialidades in Durango, Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Respiratorias, and Instituto Nacional de Neurología y Neurocirugía). All of the above, with the deep interest of improving the adverse circumstances of Mexican families with neuromuscular conditions, who require very high-level specialized care. With an interest in continuing research in Rehabilitation, she is pursuing a Master's in Health Sciences endorsed by the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, in order to later design research projects seeking to transform and improve medical practice in the field of health.
