This field of medicine is very specialized, and generally as general physicians not much is known about the eye. I am an ophthalmologist for all ages; I have an advanced specialty postgraduate degree in cataract surgery (which normally appears at advanced ages) and another postgraduate degree in pediatric ophthalmology, so I devote much of my time to examining children. I am a member of the American Academy of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ASCRS), certified by the Consejo Mexicano de Oftalmología, and a member of the Asociación Mexicana de Oftalmología Pediátrica (AMOP).
