About the Doctor

I am a specialist in "Health Psychology and prevention of Addictive Behavior" from the Facultad de Psicología of UNAM; as part of my academic training I hold a Master's degree in Addictions from the same Facultad, in addition to several courses on managing suicidal behavior, and I entered a specialty in Health Law. I am currently Head of the Psychological Service of the Facultad de Derecho of UNAM. I have had extensive experience in the field of clinical psychology, identifying and providing care with a cognitive-behavioral approach to mental health problems according to what is established in the mhGAP guide of the PAHO. I have been able to provide training and evaluate competencies in the implementation of brief counseling for health professionals. In 2011 I started private practice to care for the general population; in 2017 I started a Civil Society with the goal of developing comprehensive care plans with medicine and nutrition for the general population; in 2021 I founded a nonprofit Mental Health, Gender Equity, Substance Use, and Sexual Diversity Clinic.
