A level of trust is achieved that fosters motivation in patients and resilience, showing that from a difficult moment, learning can be gained and consistent improvement can be made. The results and progress obtained are deep and long-term, preventing patients from needing to return to therapy because problems were only solved superficially. In my clinical experience, patients have felt very grateful to feel heard and to find, within themselves, solutions they didn't think were possible. This leads them to feel capable of facing adversity and succeeding without depending on anyone.
