About the Doctor
We are a group of orthopedic specialists with different subspecialties; within the group I am in charge of disorders and diseases of the spine, both cervical (neck), thoracic (upper back), and lumbar (lower back). Not all of these diseases require some type of surgery; they can be managed with medical or pharmacological treatment (medications and therapies). I have training in minimally invasive spine surgery endorsed by the Universidad de Chile, allowing for faster recovery and a shorter hospital stay. Regarding scoliosis, it can also be managed in different ways; I have training in this condition at Hospital Severance of Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea. The earlier spine conditions are treated, the better the outcome, as well as the less aggressive the treatment; they should not be left until it is too late.
