About the Doctor

I am a licensed psychologist and I currently work at an addiction rehabilitation clinic, where I have been for 15 months, providing individual therapy to clients as well as group therapy and couples therapy. My main approach is cognitive-behavioral, although I am flexible with other approaches since I believe they all have something valuable to contribute to patients' therapeutic process. In my work I focus on social skills, emotional skills, coping skills, problem-solving, psychoeducation, illness awareness, motivation to change, life planning, among others. I recently began offering therapy in the private sector for greater independence and learning, and I am currently taking 2 telementoring courses on selected topics in psychology in the therapeutic approach to the psychiatric population, and another called proyecto hidra that addresses suicide, depressive disorders, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders, and I am also starting a diploma program in thanatology.
