Dr. Isabel Martínez del Río Requejo

About the Doctor

Graduated from Universidad Anahuac as a Physician Surgeon and later completed a Master's in Nutrition at the same institution. In addition, she holds a Master's in Competency-Based Education and a Master's in Pediatric Clinical Nutrition. As part of her training and academic achievements, Dr. Martínez del Rio Requejo completed Clinical Rotations in the U.S. and Poland. Throughout her professional career, she has worked as a Specialist in Clinical Nutrition at various medical institutions, having served as Head of Pediatric Clinical Nutrition at the Centro Medico Nacional 20 de Noviembre ISSSTE, as well as part of various institutional programs. She is a member of the Colegio de Nutricion Clinica de Mexico, The Obesity Society, the Academia Mexicana para el Estudio de la Obesidad of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), and the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN). She has participated as a Speaker in a large number of courses and congresses around the world. She is also a reviewer for the Medical-Nutrition journals: Clinical Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition ESPEN, Revista Nutricion Hospitalaria, and the National Clinical Practice Guidelines. Since 2011 she has been a Certified Professor of the LLL - ESPEN Courses, for European Certification in Clinical Nutrition. Dr. Martínez del Rio Requejo's extensive career has led her to be a Professor of the subject of Hospital Nutritional Assessment in the Master's in Clinical Nutrition at the Universidad del Valle de Mexico and of the Course on Nutrition in Disease for the Nutrition degree at Universidad Anahuac, to name a few.
