In the first-time consultation a comprehensive assessment is performed, consisting of visual acuity testing, refraction (lens prescription), intraocular pressure measurement, gonioscopy (assessment of the iridocorneal angle), examination of the ocular adnexa, anterior segment, and posterior pole (if indicated under pupil dilation). An eye exam is recommended at least once a year, since many eye diseases show no symptoms in their earliest stages, and by the time they affect vision it is usually because they are advanced. During my training I received training to treat patients of all ages, as well as to diagnose and treat all types of ophthalmological conditions such as conjunctivitis, dry eye, cataract, stye and chalazion, uveitis, strabismus, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration. I completed advanced specialization in glaucoma, so I am an expert in its diagnosis, treatment, and surgery when required.
