About the Doctor

I am a Physician Surgeon Ophthalmologist, graduated with honors and top academic standing in my class at the Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes. I completed my undergraduate rotating internship at HGZ-1, also in Aguascalientes, and my Social Service at the Instituto de Ciencias Medicas y de la Nutricion Salvador Zubiran in Mexico City. I specialized in Ophthalmology at the Asociacion Para Evitar la Ceguera en Mexico, ranking 1st Nationally on the national Medical Residency exam, in addition to receiving mention of excellence for high academic standing in the specialty from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. I continued my Advanced Specialty training in Retina and Vitreous, also at the Asociacion Para Evitar la Ceguera en Mexico, where I also received training in Ocular Ultrasound. I have worked in the Retina Department at the Hospital Regional de Alta Especialidad del Bajio, at the Hospital Aranda de la Parra, and the Unidad Medica de Alta Especialidad in Leon, Guanajuato; as well as at Clinica Laser Vision in Toluca, State of Mexico, where I also developed skills in Anterior Segment, Cornea, and Refractive Surgery. I currently practice at Star Medica and Clinica Randolph, and I serve as Medical Director of the Patronato del Banco de Ojos, both in Aguascalientes; I also see patients in the municipalities of: Calvillo, Ags., Jerez, Zac., Zacatecas, Zac., and Tepic, Nay. I have more than 15 years of surgical experience, having developed skills and expertise during my training at the best institutions in the country and by taking academic courses abroad. As a physician, I am known for providing kind, courteous, respectful, and responsible care to my patients; I honestly explain their prognosis, and we are known for our ethics and integrity. I enjoy being able to help them, which is why, in addition to my knowledge, I offer the best technology — we have the most advanced diagnostic equipment and surgical treatments available. I complement my passion for medicine and ophthalmology with my sports hobbies, in which I practice the perseverance, mental and physical strength to face challenges, and to never give up in the face of challenges and in my patients' journey through illness.
