About the Doctor

I have worked as a psychiatrist and psychotherapist for 12 years. Psychiatry is the branch of medicine responsible for the study and treatment of imbalances of the mind. As in any medical evaluation, in the first visit I take a complete clinical history, in which, in addition to the traditional history, I focus on understanding the problem the patient is coming in for, as well as evaluating the different mental components (emotional state, sensory perception, etc.), in order to arrive at a diagnosis and provide appropriate treatment. I also provide cognitive-behavioral psychotherapeutic care, which is a very practical type of psychotherapy with care models for disorders such as: depression, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress, attention deficit and eating disorders, among many others. I believe my strengths lie in providing patients with third-generation cognitive-behavioral techniques such as MINDFULNESS AND VARIOUS CONTEMPLATIVE TECHNIQUES (techniques for cultivating healthy mental states), based on teachings from various spiritual traditions, which have the potential to help the overall balance of the person and help us find the best version of ourselves. My main experience is in the field of anxiety disorders, depression, attention deficit (adolescents and adults), as well as in the field of eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and obesity).
