Graduate of Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (UAA) with a degree as a physician and surgeon, completing the specialty in orthopedics and traumatology at Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitación (INR) in Mexico City, with a training rotation in the joint surgery department at Hospital Universitario de Bellvitge in Barcelona, Spain, certified by the Consejo Mexicano de Ortopedia y Traumatología. Completed the advanced specialty course in Joint Surgery endorsed by UNAM within INR in the sports orthopedics and arthroscopy and joint reconstruction departments. Currently practices at Centenario Hospital Miguel Hidalgo in the city of Aguascalientes in the orthopedics and traumatology department within the joint surgery clinic, as well as in private practice at Grupo Ortopedico Integral. Lead professor of the medical residency course in orthopedics and traumatology at UAA. Active member of the federation of orthopedics and traumatology colleges. Has a special interest in shoulder and knee arthroscopy as well as hip and knee joint replacement surgery, treatment of sports injuries, effects of physical activity, and degenerative diseases in older adults.
