I am Dr. Lourdes Cendejas, a pediatrician and breastfeeding counselor I am a pro-breastfeeding pediatrician; personally, I like to get to know my patients, talk with them and their parents, mainly to understand their environment. Children's health is not just about the exam we perform when they visit us, but about the environment around them and the factors that can influence their illnesses or their development. At an initial visit to my office, I do a brief interview with the parents about family history, housing, and the child's perinatal and personal history, including psychomotor development, vaccination, and diet; this helps me comprehensively assess the patient and make a better diagnosis. I always try to explain each patient's and parent's condition in simple words; to follow their progress, and to always be available to answer their questions and concerns.
