About the Doctor
I am a dermatologist and pediatric dermatologist, and I love clinical practice, but I also enjoy the research I carry out mainly at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatria. I see patients for skin, hair, and nail conditions from newborn babies to elderly patients. The skin diseases I am most passionate about are atopic dermatitis, skin manifestations of autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiencies, and autoinflammatory diseases. I was a staff physician in the Dermatology Department at Hospital General "Dr. Manuel Gea Gonzalez," and since 2002 I have been a staff physician in the Dermatology Service at the Instituto Nacional de Pediatria. I am a member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (level 2) and of the Academia Nacional de Medicina; and I am certified and recertified by the Consejo Mexicano de Dermatologia.
