About the Doctor

I am a graduate of the Psychology program at Universidad Anahuac Mexico in 2013 and have continued training as a psychotherapist ever since. I hold two master's-level trainings, one in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from the Centro de Psicoterapia Cognitiva and another in Child and Adolescent Psychology from the Instituto de Psicologia Contextual de Madrid, Spain (MICPSY). I have more than 7 years of experience as a clinical psychologist. I have had the opportunity to work with adults with relationship conflicts, anxiety, and depression. In addition, I have specialized in emotional and behavioral work with children and adolescents. My work is based on Contextual Behavioral Therapies, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; these are considered evidence-based therapies due to the extensive research corroborating their effectiveness. One of the international communities dedicated to researching this is the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), of which I am a member. My professional path began at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia, as an assistant psychologist. I have collaborated with the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health of the UNAM, as a supervisor and clinical psychologist, as well as an evaluator for medical resident application processes. Other organizations I have collaborated with are Grupo Salinas and Te queremos escuchar. In addition, I have had the opportunity to be part of training new colleagues at the undergraduate and graduate level, at institutions such as Universidad Anahuac and the Escuela Nacional de Enfermeria y Obstetricia of the UNAM.
