About the Doctor

The psychotherapeutic approach I work with is Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. This form of intervention is based on analyzing the influence of the various experiences a person has lived through, and thereby trying to understand how those experiences affect the present, as well as the context in which each person finds themselves; all with the aim of understanding each person's experiences and reality in order to begin a process of change. During my professional career I have treated patients in the hospital setting (outpatient consultation, cross-consultation, and clinical evaluations); individual psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. In the social sphere I have worked with children in situations of abandonment, abuse, and placement in nursery institutions; more recently I have worked with infant and preschool-age boys and girls with cognitive deficiencies, learning difficulties, and autism spectrum disorders.
