In the case of depression, anxiety, or another psychiatric disorder, a clinical history will need to be taken to determine whether, in addition to the treatment—whether psychotherapeutic, pharmacological, or a combination of both—some type of complementary study is required, or if pharmacological treatment is not desired, whether transcranial magnetic stimulation is appropriate.
