Primary AL Cardiac Amyloidosis

Primary AL-type cardiac amyloidosis is a disease in which an abnormal protein, called amyloid, deposits in the heart tissue and impairs its function. The AL type originates from abnormalities of certain blood cells.

Common signs: Tiredness, shortness of breath, swelling in the legs, and a feeling of palpitations or irregular heartbeats.
