Common Peroneal Nerve Neuropathy

Common peroneal nerve neuropathy is the involvement of a nerve in the leg responsible for moving the foot upward and for sensation in part of the leg and the top of the foot. Its injury can make it difficult to lift the tip of the foot when walking.

Common symptoms: weakness in lifting the foot, a tendency to trip, tingling or numbness on the outer side of the leg and on the instep.
