Accelerated Silicosis

Accelerated silicosis is a lung disease that develops after intense exposure to silica dust over relatively short periods. The inhaled material causes progressive damage and inflammation in the lung tissue.

Origin: it is related to jobs where fine silica dust is breathed in, such as mining, stone cutting, or certain industrial processes without adequate protection.

Usual manifestations: among the complaints, difficulty breathing, persistent cough, and tiredness that limits physical activity usually appear.
