About the Doctor

Born in Mexico City. Surgeon from UNAM, part of the Núcleos de Calidad Educativa program. During his studies he received several awards and honors for good academic performance, culminating in Honorable Mention upon graduation. He completed his Specialty in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Hospital General Dr. Manuel Gea González, ranking among the top scores on the exam for the Programa Único de Especialidades Médicas held annually, and likewise earning Honorable Mention upon graduation. He actively participates in conferences with Clinical Research papers, in which he has obtained 1st and 2nd places. He completed stays abroad: one with a focus on Head and Neck Cancer and its Endoscopic approach at the University of Michigan Hospital, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and another with a focus on Rhinology, Nasosinusal Endoscopic Surgery and Skull Base Surgery at Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, Spain. On both occasions he was awarded a scholarship by CONACyT for belonging to High Quality Graduate Programs. He has publications in journals of high scientific interest and has authored chapters in medical books of interest, in addition to being a columnist for Revista ARMAS, where he writes bimonthly on topics of interest in Otolaryngology for the general public. He believes in technology applied to medicine, as long as it does not lose its humanity. Likewise, he believes that technology applied to medical education should be leveraged without interrupting the natural process of acquiring knowledge. He enjoys writing and music. He is committed to practicing medicine with skill, humanity, and honesty.
