Depending on the need and the disease of each patient, we have vascular ultrasound available, which allows us to make the proper diagnosis. The office has the necessary equipment to determine and classify different arterial and/or venous diseases. In Chronic Venous Disease (Varicose Veins), a duplex Doppler venous ultrasound of the lower limbs is performed to detect the disease and determine its anatomy, since this makes it possible to choose a medical or endovascular treatment. In Peripheral Arterial Disease (narrowing and occlusions of the arteries), pressures in the limb arteries are measured, an ankle-brachial index is obtained, and a duplex Doppler arterial ultrasound is performed in order to determine the severity of the disease and identify the anatomical sites to plan treatment. In cases of Venous Thrombosis (clots), it is necessary to perform an ultrasound with a compression test to detect the clots. Currently this is the only diagnostic test for this disease, and it has the advantage of being performed during the same consultation without sending the patient to a radiology area for diagnosis. In cases of Aortic Aneurysms, a detailed analysis and appropriate measurements are made with specialized software in order to choose the treatment. We have all the infrastructure necessary to diagnose and treat vascular diseases.
