About the Doctor

Hi, I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Hearing and Language Disorders, graduated from the Instituto José David, affiliated with Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, Mexico. I completed a Master's degree in Language Intervention and Research, Deafness, and Neurological Disorders from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Spain. I have experience as a Language therapist within the Communication Area at the Neurodevelopment Research Unit of the "Hospital Infantil de México, Federico Gómez," in Mexico City I was a hearing therapist for children with Cochlear Implants using the Auditory Verbal Method at the Fundación Espinosa Rugarcía, in the city of Puebla. I also worked as an Individual Language and Learning therapist at the Centro Terapia Integral, in the city of Chihuahua. Areas of work: - Hearing: Patients with Cochlear Implants, Auditory Verbal Therapy. - Language: comprehensive therapy, cognition, difficulty in language comprehension and/or expression - Speech: dyslalias, stuttering (dysphemia), breathing and voice disorders. - Neurodevelopment: certified in the application of the Battelle Developmental Inventory to assess a child's fundamental skills across the different developmental areas (personal-social, adaptive, motor, communication, and cognition). I am constantly staying up to date on topics related to child development, neurodevelopment, and hearing rehabilitation. One of my great passions is working and spending time with children!
