I was one of the first practitioners of laparoscopic surgery in Mexico. I have more than 18 years of experience and 26 years working as a titular professor of the postgraduate course at UNAM, with more than 18 international articles published on general and laparoscopic surgery. I have also been head of the General Surgery department at the Hospital Regional "Licenciado Adolfo López Mateos" ISSSTE in Mexico City, and director of the Hospital Regional "Presidente Juárez" in the city of Oaxaca, Oaxaca. Active member of the Asociación Mexicana de Cirugía Endoscópica, also a member of the Asociación Mexicana Cirugía General and the Asociación Latinoamericana de Cirugía Endoscópica.
