He is a genomic medicine specialist with extensive clinical experience. He founded and is a tenured professor of Clinical Genetics at the Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua. He has participated in numerous courses and conferences in the state of Chihuahua, in different states of the Mexican Republic, as well as internationally, always promoting the search for and access to new diagnostic and treatment technologies for people carrying a genetic condition that affects their quality of life. He holds a Master's in Medical Sciences from UNAM, which has allowed him to serve as Head of Teaching and Research at CRIT Chihuahua. As a graduate of the Instituto Nacional de Rehabilitacion in Mexico City, he has a comprehensive vision of Rehabilitation and disability management, thanks to which he has been able to combine knowledge of clinical genomic medicine with the work of an extraordinary team of medical specialists in the city of Chihuahua itself, ensuring comprehensive patient management and proper referral. He is a collaborator with the Fundacion Enlace Duchenne-Becker and is founder of the Asociacion Chihuahuense de Enfermedades Raras, and is currently a member of the board of directors of this civil association, which brings together families with rare genetic conditions in search of better opportunities to provide quality of life, options to accelerate diagnosis, provide more treatment alternatives, and promote societal awareness in the pursuit of inclusion.
