I am Dr. Leonardo Mejia, specialist in Medical Genetics. I trained at a pediatric hospital, specifically the Hospital Infantil de Mexico Dr. Federico Gomez, so I have extensive experience with children in whom we evaluate their symptoms and, once we have the diagnosis, proceed to explain to the parents why their child presented these conditions and what the risks are for the rest of the family. I currently reside in the city of Chihuahua and work at the Centro Estatal de Cancerologia, where I evaluate family cases with suspected hereditary cancer. I collaborate with the NeoGen group in Ciudad Juarez, who are expert physicians in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and we treat cases of pregnancies with detected fetal abnormalities, as well as couples with infertility issues or recurrent pregnancy loss. I also see patients at the CAIC (Centro de Atencion Integral al Cancer) of Christus Muguerza, which has the full multidisciplinary team for cancer patient care.
